Beliefs

god

There is one and only one living and true God. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

mission

It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and of every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations.

Salvation

Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.

church

A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel; observing the two ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word, and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth.

scriptures

The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.

Values

Christ-Centeredness

Union with Christ
It is exclusively through our union with Jesus Christ that we may know God, be reconciled to God, and live our lives for God. Therefore, our theology, ministry philosophy, biblical interpretation, preaching, counseling, and missional engagement are all centered on the person and work of Jesus Christ.

Luke 24:27; 44 / John 1:1-18 / John 5:39, 46 / Galatians 4:4-47 /
Hebrews 1:1-4 // 2 Corinthians 5:14-15

Authority of Scripture

Jesus Christ is the head of this church and the Bible is His revealed Word. We submit to Christ and His Word as the final authority for all aspects of life, faith, conduct, and ministry.

Jeremiah 9:13-16 / Colossians 1:18 / 1 Thessalonians 2:13 /
2 Timothy 3:16-17 / Hebrews 4:12 / 2 Peter 1:16-21

Community and Discipleship

Healthy Relationships
Life is meant to be lived together in community where people know you and you know them. We are called to pray for one another, speak the truth in love to one another, and encourage one another in the faith. As a family, we are committed to caring for one another with sacrificial love, radical generosity, and genuine compassion.

Acts 2:44-45 / Ephesians 4:15-16 / Hebrews 10:25 / James 5:16 / Romans 12:13 / 1 Corinthians 6:7 / 1 Corinthians 12:25 / Galatians 6:10

Gospel-Rooted Spiritual Formation
Every circumstance in life is an opportunity to become more or less like Jesus. By the help of the Holy Spirit, we pursue to conform unto the character of Christ. We believe that maturing in our devotion to Jesus leads to deeper communion with God, ultimately transforming every area of life to display the gospel.

John 14:26 / Romans 8:26-29 / Romans 12:2 / 1 Corinthians 9:27 / Ephesians 4:20-24 / 1 John 2:1-6

kingdom mission

Mercy and Justice
Every person has inherent dignity because they are made in the image of God. Therefore, we honor and value every individual by being committed to revealing God’s character in the broken areas of racial, social, and cultural injustice. As God calls his people to love the “orphan, widow and foreigner,” we are called to pursue and serve the marginalized and oppressed as a primary means honoring God and loving people.

Genesis 1:27 / Psalm 146:9 / Isaiah 1:17 / Jeremiah 9:23-24 / Micah 6:8 / Matthew 25:31-46 / James 2:1-7

Active Evangelism

All of humanity is in desperate need of salvation because of sin, and the gospel of Jesus has the exclusive power to redeem, restore and save anyone who believes. Therefore, we will speak the gospel both in word and deed in order to see God bring people from spiritual death to new life.

1 Corinthians 1:18-24 / 1 Corinthians 15:3-5 / 2 Corinthians 4:1-6 / Romans 10:14-15 / Galatians 1:8-11 / 2 Timothy 4:2

Multiplication

Every Christian is called to live out and share the gospel to make disciples. Therefore, we devote significant resources toward equipping our church, sending local and international missionaries and ministry workers, planting churches, and supporting initiatives to reach and serve the local community.

Matthew 28:18-20 / Acts 1:8 / Romans 10:15 / 2 Corinthians 8:1-7 / Philippians 4:15-20
