Daniel CHUNG / lead planter & pastor

Daniel Chung grew up in the DMV and attended the University of Maryland College Park to pursue a degree in Kinesiology. He felt a call to vocational ministry while at UMD and finished his BA in Theology and Biblical Studies at Washington Bible College. He then completed his Masters of Divinity at Biblical Theological Seminary (now Missio Seminary) in Philadelphia, PA.

With over a decade of church and pastoral experience, Daniel has served within different ministry contexts that have continued to cultivate a kingdom vision for the local church. He is a second generation Korean-American that has a growing conviction to see the church embrace a diversified reality – he is fervent for Jesus to be known across social, ethnic, cultural borders. His vision is to see gospel-rooted revival throughout PG County in his lifetime.

mark kang / director of operations

Mark Kang is a Maryland native, born in Baltimore, MD and raised in Silver Spring. He graduated from the University of Maryland College Park where he studied sports medicine and graduated with a degree in Kinesiology. Mark then attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received his Master of Arts in Theological Studies. Mark has been able to serve in different church capacities, furthering his call to ministry.

Mark is passionate about music, music technology, and sports. Mark is currently a licensed and practicing athletic trainer in the state of Maryland. His ministry passions include strong biblical doctrine, cultural intelligence and organizational health.

justin jung / pastoral intern

Justin Jung is a proud native of Crofton, Maryland having been a Marylander his whole life. He attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 2013-2017 where he began to explore the opportunity of vocational ministry. Upon graduating from UMBC with a degree in Business Technology Administration, he decided to work full time and is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Justin has served in different ministry roles that have impacted his desire to pursue the calling of pastoral work. With a heart for world missions and seeing the gospel change the lives of the unreached, he sees the need right here in the city of College Park. His hope is to see lives transformed through the power of the gospel throughout PG County.
